Great Success, Lorenzo, former Blue Dog
Rescue dog, is thriving!

We took Lorenzo to Honeymoon Ranch out in Marble Falls . This
is a camping site which is located about 5 miles down a dirt road in
open range on lake LBJ . As we pulled down the road, there
were all sorts of sights and smells for him to enjoy……cattle,
horses, guineas…..Then…..it happened…..at the base of a large
oak tree, he began to circle…..and then he was off like a shot!
He’d scared up the biggest jack rabbit I’ve ever seen. The rabbit
took off and Lorenzo followed right behind – as the rabbit jumped
so did Lorenzo – I began to panic – then I remembered he’s been
trained! Roger went after him a few feet and called out a big
booming “Lorenzo – come!” From a dead run on the tail of a jack
rabbit he made an about face and came running back! We were
absolutely thrilled! Never did I think that a dog, chasing wild
game, could be called off and return to his people!

Thanks, Dana, for really helping us make the dog a part of our
family! He’s the best and so are you!

I can now tell (Lorenzo) “off” and the cat across the road, though
still interesting, is no longer a must have! We had him off leash all
day on Sunday at Turkey Bend. Roger took him for a long walk –
off leash – and he never took off! I never thought I’d be so
happy with a dog – or that I’d be so much in love with the furry
little thing! Thanks for all your help so far – and I can’t wait for
canine good citizen to start!
